Gadi Yarkoni was blinded in combat in Lebanon, and received his first Guide Dog in 1996. Today, not only does he walk effortlessly with his companion -- but Gadi likes to run with friends. When a group heard about Gadi, they secured a place for him the famous New York City Marathon.
Gadi will be joined by Noach Braun, the founder of the Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind. They will both be running to raise awareness of the plight of the visually impaired in Israel, and our efforts to provide guide dogs to everyone who wants one of these amazing animals.
Please tell your friends to support Gadi's run. We're trying to raise funds so that people on our waiting list can finally experience the freedom of movement and independence that comes with a partnership with a guide dog.
