City Music creates social change through contemporary music by providing free, rigorous music education and college readiness to students (grades 4–12) from underserved communities.

Who Benefits from Support:
Approximately 1,000 youths in grades 4–12 participate in City Music annually. This project will raise funding to support full scholarships for City Music students to attend Berklee’s intensive and comprehensive Five–Week Summer Performance Program. Without these scholarships, these teens would not be able to participate. Approximately 50 students from Boston/Greater Boston receive this scholarship each year. Tuition is $4,700 for the upcoming summer.
Fast Fact:
City Music was nationally recognized as a recipient of the prestigious Coming Up Taller Award. As part of the ceremony, students performed at the White House.
