Cantorial soloist Jodi Blankstein received her certificate in Jewish liturgical music from Hebrew College in June of 2010. She served as the Cantorial Associate at Temple Habonim in Rhode Island from 2009 through 2011. Jodi is currently the Cantorial Soloist at Temple Emanuel of Andover, MA where she can be heard leading the congregation in song and prayer each week. In addition to her temple-based Cantorial work, Jodi is available to sing at all lifecycle events with or without accompaniment.
Prior to her Cantorial work, Jodi attended Lesley College where she received her degree in Elementary Education and a dual minor in Counseling and Psychology. After teaching elementary school for ten years, Jodi started her journey in sacred music while raising her two children. Immersing herself in her Cantorial role has enabled Jodi to combine her love of teaching and spiritual song.
Jodi lives in Needham, Massachusetts with her husband and two children.
