I am collecting new or gently used women’s businesswear and accessories for the organization Dress For Success, (www.dressforsucess.com), which is located in Boston. Dress For Success distributes clothing and accessories for women in poverty who can’t afford to buy their own appropriate business attire. Their focus allows women to support their families by helping them get jobs. Looking like a professional, with a strong and powerful first impression, is the first step to getting a job.
I am specifically collecting dressy shoes, handbags, scarves, jewelry, women’s suits, and blouses. There will be a donation box at my school, Rashi, and at my Bat Mitzvah. Another way that you can show support is by making a contribution to my JChoice account. JChoice is an online Jewish Teen Social Giving Network, and I am a member. I have selected through my JChoice Bat Mitzvah Registry to fund Dress For Success with 100% of the donations I receive going to the organization.
