ShalomLearning is a new platform for Jewish learning that is both adaptive and flexible to meet the needs of the Jewish people. We are dedicated to providing ongoing Jewish learning and enrichment while assuring that the methodologies used are evolving based on current technologies, learning practices and realities of family life. We partner with synagogues, Day Schools and other Jewish organizations as well as directly with unaffiliated families and Jewish educators to provide a compelling, cost-effective and accessible Blended (online and offline) Jewish education.
ShalomLearning was founded in 2011 by Devin Schain and Andrew Rosen, committed to bringing their technology and education expertise to enhance Jewish learning and connection. Rosen is a co-founder of Blackboard, one of the first and largest online platforms for Internet learning and course management used by thousands of North American school and universities. Schain has proven expertise in direct-to-consumer marketing having started and sold three successful education companies. The founders were inspired to take the model they had developed to a larger audience when they saw how well it was received in the initial pilot program. Parents and children alike raved about the programming, which was designed with input by nationally recognized Jewish educators such as Dr. Erica Brown, Dr. Jonathan Woocher (z"l), and Rabbi Sydney Schwartz.
Today, Jewish institutions turn to ShalomLearning to work with them to create and/or implement great educational programming to increase participation, build community, or meet any other organizational objective.
ShalomLearning is dedicated to the creation and curation of innovative curriculum, educational technology, and professional development in order to meet the evolving educational needs of today’s Jewish community and instill a love of lifelong Jewish learning.

The Impact of the Pandemic
The Coronavirus pandemic forced schools to move to virtual learning. Because of ShalomLearning’s leadership, we were poised to provide a turn-key solution with timely support and training to enable Jewish schools to continue online. As a result, our school partnerships more than doubled since the pandemic began. We are currently educating almost 13,000 students and supporting 1,700 Jewish educators for 236 partners throughout North America, including Congregational Schools, Day Schools, Home School families, and independent communities. We proudly support Jewish American military families stationed around the world who also use our program.
"We are a military family living overseas and struggling to provide Jewish education to our two children. We have tried to use the meager resources here and to provide Jewish lessons and culture in our home. It was not enough. ShalomLearning has been a fabulous asset in our quest to keep our son's (and someday, we hope, our daughter's) Jewish identity intact in a non-Jewish environment and to strengthen his understanding of Jewish values and history."
